Medigus: Two Contracts with a Leading Medical Device Distributor in Japan

The Customer Has the Exclusive rights to Purchase Medigus' Miniature Camera and Video Processor for Three Years for $240,000.

OMER, Israel, Oct. 28, 2013 - Medigus(MDGS.TA), a medical equipment company focused on the development and marketing of endoscopy-based surgical procedures, announced today that it has signed two contracts with a leading medical device manufacturer and distributor in Japan.

The customer acquired the exclusive rights to purchase Medigus' miniature camera and video processor for two specific indications – one in the cardiac field and the other in the field of joint diseases.

The initial term of the agreement is three years, and the customer may extend it for an additional three-year period. The customer will pay up to $240,000 for the initial three-year period and over $100,000 for each year during the extension period. During the contractual period and thereafter, the customer may negotiate with Medigus for a multi-year exclusive supply agreement which will include provisions for exclusivity payments and minimum purchase orders.
